My teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in three fundamental principles of education, which have emerged from a diverse array of sources and are key to shaping the college experience. As a first-generation college student in my family, I have personally experienced the significance of these principles through my own struggles and triumphs. Growing up, my journey to education was far from easy. I vividly remember the days when, as a child, I had to wake up at 5:00 am to fetch drinking water for my family before embarking on a two-hour trek along treacherous mountain trails just to attend school. These experiences instilled in me a profound understanding of the importance of education and the immense value it holds in transforming lives.

Drawing from these principles, I carefully design my technical and professional communication (TPC) syllabi to foster an environment that empowers my students. I believe in creating meaningful assignments and activities that encourage students to take ownership of their learning and explore their passions.
